Ryan Martin Young is a SFX artist & model maker with a comprehensive working knowledge of sculpture, fabrication and mould making. Having graduated from BA (Hons) Model Making at The Arts University Bournemouth, he gained a rich knowledge and understanding of materials and practical effects. He honed his vocational skill set and developed his versatility whilst working as a sculptor and prop maker, predominantly within the film, television and theatrical industries. Now working within Higher education, Ryan hold the post of Lecturer on the SFX for Film and TV course where he facilitates and supports dozens of young creatives within specialisms such as creature creation and prop making. Nottingham Body Cast was founded as Ryan's Fine art based sculptural outlet which draws largely upon material knowledge to create bespoke sculptures from the human form.
